My eldest daughter has been trying to learn Paparazzi on piano for a pageant talent competition. This is not a piece that has been worked on with piano or vocal teacher, but rather Madeline has been learning on her own in her spare time. She doesn't have the sheet music, and has plied it together by ear and experience.
I am not musical, but I can appreciate how difficult it must be to begin to accompany yourself between voice and instrument. The piece is far from perfect, and you will note our piano has a flawed string... but she is working hard and doing a great job for a novice. And, as a mom, biased as I am, I love watching her play- and sing- and perform. It brings joy to my heart.
